While filled travertine is excellent for indoor use, the resin fillers can expand and pop out during the rapid freeze-thaw cycles typical of a British winter. A "Tumbled" finish is the most popular choice in the UK; the process artificially weathers the stone, rounding sharp edges and creating a textured, grippy surface that feels exceptionally soft underfoot. Alternatively, a heavily brushed finish provides excellent traction while maintaining a slightly more contemporary aesthetic. Both finishes comfortably exceed the required Pendulum Test Value (PTV) for wet barefoot areas.
Bespoke Edge Profiling for Safety and Style
The edge profile of the coping is vital for the safety of swimmers entering and exiting the pool. Our advanced CNC facility in Turkey fabricates bespoke copings to your exact architectural designs. We expertly mill classic "Full Bullnose" or "Half Bullnose" edges, completely removing sharp corners to prevent injury. For modern, minimalist UK pool designs, we also fabricate seamless "Drop-Down" (rebated) copings that conceal the water line. We package these heavy, 30mm or 40mm thick architectural pieces in heavily braced ISPM-15 wooden crates, ensuring they arrive at your UK landscaping site in immaculate condition, ready to define your luxury outdoor space.
